A process for preparing strontium carbonate from high-Ba celestite includes metathesis reaction to obtain raw strontium carbonate and separating out barium by use of the mixed solution of strontium nitrate and barium nitrate obtained by acidifying reaction, which has different solubilities at different temp. Its advantages are high Ba removing effect and simple equipment.
